Eastcare Dental is an extended hours private dental practice which provides a wide range of general dental care and caters for regular dental patients. We also treat dental injuries and have IV sedation for anxious patients. Our friendly, caring and experienced team takes pride in providing quality dental care, not only treating your immediate issues but fulfilling all of your dental health needs to provide you with life-improving oral health.
Dr Gareth Ngan
Principal Dentist
A 1995 graduate from the University of Otago, Gareth has owned Eastcare Dental since 1999. Gareth aims to provide a high level of dental treatment to enhance the quality of life of his patients in a caring and informative manner. He is committed to helping patients keep their teeth for life, and has special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and endodontics. Gareth is very experienced in oral surgery and extractions, treating dental emergencies, and is certified to provide IV sedation for anxious patients. In his spare time Gareth enjoys watching and playing sports, and enjoys travel, food, and spending time with his family, and socialising with friends.
Dr Jessie Liang
Associate Dentist
Jessie graduated from the University of Otago in 2021 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Jessie aims to provide gentle dentistry in a comfortable environment. Passionate about patient education and preventative dental care, Jessie is committed to helping you reach your dental goals. Outside of work, Jessie enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Sarah Ninkie
Practice Manager
Sarah joined the Practice as a highly experienced chairside Dental Assistant in the year 2000. After 12 years she moved into the front office and has been there ever since. Sarah is the patients' first point of contact when calling or emailing, her experience will help guide you when seeking advice and making appointments.
